Schenker official logistics provider for POB

Schenker has been appointed official logistics provider for the Paris Opera Ballet (POB) which is visiting Australia/Sydney for the first time this month. The tour will comprise a company of 135 including 90 dancers and with the Sydney Lyric Orchestra and will present three programs. Schenker will handle both origin and destination cargo transportation services from France to Australia. POB’s cargo includes costumes, props and all other equipment that is involved with the entire set up of the ballet show.

Jordan and Libya progress on associations bid

Jordan is making good progress on its bid to form a national association of freight forwarders. A recent meeting of FIATA’s Region Africa Middle East (RAME) in Amman, was told Jordan had completed its submission to form a national association and it was hoped that following the RAME meeting all documents would be accepted by the Jordan government so that they can be endorsed at the FIATA World Congress to be held in Dubai in October.
