Government figures reflect softening market for outbound air freight

The lastest figures from the Australian Bureau of Transport and Regional Economics (BTRE) report -International Scheduled Air Transport 2006 - shows international air freight in 2006 grew by 5.3 per cent compared with 2005 to 746,000 tonnes. Inbound freight increased by 6.3 per cent, while outbound freight increased by 4.0 per cent over the preceding year.
