Hong Kong-based logistics and forwarding company Agility has signed a three year agreement with Virtual Network Operator (VNO) Vanco for the design, implementation and management of a new regional Wide Area Network (WAN).

Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced plans to monitor fares and cargo charges on airlines flying in Pakistan based on rules and regulations prescribed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).  The cargo overwatch will cover airline and other ‘cargo handler’ charges. Complaints centres will be set up to handle grievances.-Jack Handley

Logistics giant Agility has opened a new 1,000 square metre warehouse in the Queen Alia International Airport Free Zone, Amman, Jordan. Agility is working on a number of other Jordanian projects that include Aqaba Logistics Village and the King Hussein International Airport/Cargo Terminal in Aqaba.

Skystar sells ground handling operations at PER and BNE

Perth-based Monadelphous Group says it will sell part of subsidiary Skystar Airport Services ground handling group to the recently-formed Toll Dnata Airport Services Group. The agreement with Toll Dnata Airport Services covers all contracts, staff, equipment and facilities in the passenger and ramp aircraft-handling business carried out at Perth's domestic and international airports and Brisbane International Airport. The company said that the remaining Skystar business in Australasia -- at Darwin, Kalgoorlie, Proserpine, Hamilton Island and Christchurch, New Zealand -- would carry on as usual. Toll Dnata is a joint venture between Toll Holdings and the Emirates Group.
