SAS Cargo has appointed general sales agent Vector Aviation to develop its Vietnamese business with a particular emphasis on outbound freight to Scandinavia, which will be transported via Bangkok, Thailand to join SAS’ daily departures to Copenhagen and Stockholm. Transit time for cargo from Vietnam to Scandinavia is claimed to be 24 hours.

Jets Transport to increase fuel surcharge

Australia's Melbourne Tullamarine-based Jets Transport Express has raised its fuel surcharge from 10.5 per cent to 12 per cent effective 01 February. In a letter to customers, national sales manager Mark Moss blamed the rise on the increased cost of distillate fuel and promised to hold any future rises to “the bare minimum.” The company plans to maintain its monthly review of  fuel costs and act quickly in the event of change.
