Hong Kong-listed China Eastern Airlines (CEA) has turned down a proposal by Air China parent China National Aviation Corp (CNAC) to buy a stake in it, saying CNAC had failed at a number of hurdles, including ‘the way it made its proposal’ and its ‘modes of communication’ with CEA.

After Australia’s New South Wales minister for Primary Industries yesterday declared the state had successfully eradicated equine influenza, NZB Airfreight announced a resumption of NZ-Australia flights from Thursday 6th March, with the Monday and Tuesday evening regular services resuming 10th March.
